Barber Training Program

Designed for students without a Cosmetology License who are seeking their Arizona Barber License. Our 1,200 hour program (available full-time or part-time) combines lecture, live demonstration, and hands-on-practice — including supervised work on the public under a licensed Barber Instructor — to build real cutting and shaving skills, not just theory.

Arizona requires a Barber License to work as a barber in this state. Our curriculum is built around that requirement. By graduation, you’ll have the knowledge and technical skill to pass the Arizona Board of Barbers Examination and walk into a shop ready to work — not just certified, employable.

BARBER INSTRUCTOR PROGRAM

Ready to teach? Our Barber Instructor program gives you the required 350 clocked hours to become a licensed Barber Instructor in Arizona. Student instructors complete no less than 80 hours of theory classroom instruction before moving to the school clinic floor, where they train under the direct supervision of a licensed instructor — real teaching experience, not just theory.

By completion, you’ll have the knowledge and classroom management skills required to pass your instructor licensing requirements and take on students of your own. Work at your own pace.

Cosmetologist to Barber

Crossover Program

Already licensed in cosmetology? Upgrade your skills and become a licensed barber in just 200 hours. Our crossover program is built specifically for cosmetologists — hands-on training, work at your own pace, full-time or part-time, covering real barbering techniques including cutting and shaving skills.

The course combines lecture and demonstration with live practice on the public, supervised by a licensed Barber Instructor. By graduation, you’ll have the knowledge and skill to pass the Arizona Board of Barbers Examination and step into paid barber work.
